hey, decided to comment here because comments weren't enabled on the "mto camera" post...
they dont tell you because a lot of the cameras can move and change direction... so it would require someone to constantly update the website every time a camera moves - which is very frequently.
an example of this would be for the Air France crash in the summer time at Pearson, all the traffic cameras around the 401/427 were pointed directly at the crash site.
They actually say something to that effect on the second page I linked to. Many of the cameras can pivot 360 degrees. So, while I understand why they don't tell you which direction the camera is pointing, it still makes the site less than immediately helpful if I'm checking quickly before leaving school to go to Guelph.
